What experience do I need to become a Pet Evolution franchise owner?
We seek financially qualified single-unit and multi-unit franchise owners, as well as Pet Evolution Regional Developers. We prefer owner-operators for single units and require knowledgeable managers trained by our team for additional locations. Pet Evolution pet care franchise owners must have a love for animals, and a head for business building.
What is provided as part of the Pet Evolution franchise program?
Before you open your Pet Evolution location(s), we will provide initial training at our headquarters location, which includes classroom and on the job training for approximately five days.  As you open your Pet Evolution location, members of our franchise development team will offer training and assistance at your location. Our training program includes information relating to store operations, understanding the products and ingredients, grooming services and equipment, washing stations, customer service, marketing and sales programs and methods of controlling operating costs. In addition, you will have access to our exclusive confidential operations manual to help run your pet care franchise properly on a day-to-day basis.
How much will the Pet Evolution franchise program cost me?
The total initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $635,200 – $988,800 per store. This includes a $59,000 initial franchise fee for a single-unit agreement. For our Regional Developers, the initial franchise fee will be $12,000 per franchise license, with a minimum of six units ($72,000), and a maximum of 50 units ($600,000). As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We charge a royalty fee equal to 7% of total gross sales, and a $1,000/month technology fee. Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of product and supply channels, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will be required to spend a minimum of 6% of gross sales each month on local marketing. Pet Evolution franchisees will also contribute up to 1.5% of gross sales into the national marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Pet Evolution brand.
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with subsequent successor agreement options of ten years.
